Great Wall Motor World Series Championships Underway

The popular Kelmarsh Country Show witnessed the first round qualifiers for the Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Championships and the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championships.

Both championships were hotly contested by seasoned competitors and new talent trying to make their mark on the series, with the qualifying competitors on each day securing their place in the much acclaimed Grand Final at the Midland Game Fair.

There was fast and furious four-legged action in the Gundog arena over the weekend, in the Scurry arena the quickest time of the weekend was recorded by Kevin Warburton and Labrador KD with a time of 120:58, with Lee Barlow and Tilly posting the top Spaniel time of 1:13.

In the Clay Shooting arena Mr Myers dominated the AA section taking 1st place across both days recording impressive scores of 50 and 48, safely guaranteeing his place in the final.

The 2014 worthy winners will be awarded a brand new Great Wall Steed SE featuring custom styling and extensively kitted out for the victor’s chosen discipline.  With such enviable prizes on offer, the series is attracting the finest talent in the country.

The next World Series rounds take place at Highclere Country Show, Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May. Entries are encouraged from newcomers and seasoned competitors.
