1,000th Brick in the Great Wall!
Northern Ireland’s Great Wall dealer network joined to celebrate a milestone achievement – the 1,000th sale of a Great Wall Steed pick-up since the launch of the Chinese double-cab truck franchise in the UK last year.
Pictured with the 6th placed Paris Dakar Rally Steed are (L to R) Great Wall Managing Director Neville Matthews, Antrim dealer John Barr, Aftersales Manager Noel Hughes, Peter Eakin dealer for Co Derry/Londonderry, Des Orr from Co Down and Noel Gormley of Co Tyrone.
“The first thousand were always going to be the hardest” said Matthews “But already the Great Wall Steed is carving quite a reputation for itself. Virtually unknown in Europe before launch last year Great Wall have been building vehicles in China for 30 years and exporting to 120 countries worldwide. With a class-leading six year warranty and class-leading specification and prices from just £13,998 we expect the next thousand to be much easier!”
“Great Wall have finished in the top ten places in the last three Paris Dakar Rallies, testament to the tough build and reliability of their products” continued Matthews “Northern Ireland’s farming and business communities know value for money when they drive it - at Great Wall we don’t believe you should pay over the top for a work vehicle, nor should you have to sacrifice comfort - hence all our pick-ups are specified with air-conditioning, leather upholstery, Bluetooth enabled, and return class-leading fuel economy. It’s proving to be a simple but irresistible winning combination.”
